"Psychotherapy must remain an obstinate attempt of two people to recover the wholeness of being human through the relationship between them."
-R.D. Laing

INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

Individual psychotherapy provides a dedicated space to examine painful symptoms, understand underlying patterns, and foster authentic personal growth. I offer individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents addressing a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety & Panic Disorder

  • Depression & Low Self-Esteem

  • Trauma, Loss, & Grief

  • Relationship Difficulties

  • Personal Growth & Meaning

  • Spiritual Concerns

  • Personality Disorders (Borderline, Narcissistic, etc.)

  • Schizophrenia & Psychotic Disorders

PSYCHOANALYSIS

People often choose psychoanalysis when they want more than standard symptom relief, or when they have tried other forms of therapy with limited success. It is well-suited both for addressing persistent symptoms and for fostering a deeper, more enduring sense of self-understanding and self-acceptance. Many who enter analysis are seeking a fuller, more integrated experience of themselves, greater emotional freedom and more satisfying relationships.

Psychoanalysis is not a quick fix. Rather the work unfolds gradually, allowing insight, compassion, and change to emerge at their own pace. It is a meaningful journey of discovery—one that honors the individuality and complexity of each person.

For those ready to undertake this intensive, deep-reaching process, I offer sessions scheduled multiple times per week. This increased frequency provides a steady continuity that allows for a thorough exploration of one’s experience—including conscious and unconscious thoughts, feelings, memories, dreams, and relational patterns. Ultimately, this work fosters profound personal development and increased freedom from unsatisfying modes of living, building lasting capacities for self-observation that continue long after treatment ends.

SUPERVISION & CLINICAL CONSULTATION

In addition to direct clinical practice, I provide professional supervision and consultation for mental health professionals seeking ongoing clinical growth and depth development.

Whether you are working toward advanced licensure, integrating psychoanalytic and existential frameworks into your practice, or seeking consultation on complex clinical dynamics, these sessions offer a collaborative space to deepen your theoretical grounding, refine your clinical sensibility, and examine the subtle intersubjective dynamics of your own client work.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

I typically meet with prospective patients for 1 to 2 initial consultation appointments. During this time we have a chance to identify what matters most to you, the difficulties bringing you to therapy, and how treatment may help. Following these initial meetings we decide on the best way forward, including session frequency and scheduling.
